Nanjing, Jiangsu, November …, 2025 — Lansitec Technology, a leading IoT people and asset tracking solution
provider, announces the Livestock Tracking Tag today. This durable,
animal-friendly tracker combines LTE-M, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, and satellite NTN
connectivity with GNSS positioning for uninterrupted, accurate tracking across
extensive grazing regions in less-than-ideal connectivity situations. The tag
combines a 500 mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery with a built-in 0.34 W solar
panel to enhance longevity and reduce on-site upkeep.
“We built this for the real world.
Ranches are big, backhaul is fickle, and battery swaps are a chore.
Multi-network coverage fills the gaps, GNSS pins location with < 2.5 m CEP
outdoors, and flexible report intervals let you tune for grazing, resting, or
transport without burning power. “
Introducing
the Lansitec Livestock Tracking Tag
The
tag is compatible with LoRaWAN 1.0.2B, utilizes OTAA or ABP activation, and
includes regional plans like EU868, US915, AU915, AS923, RU864, KR920, IN865,
KZ865, and CN470. For cellular, it encompasses a broad spectrum of LTE-M and
NB-IoT bands. As for satellite, it facilitates NTN operations across n255
L-band and n256 S-band, as defined by 3GPP.
Our
first NTN-enabled device is broadening Lansitec’s portfolio and providing
customers with more options. When it comes to connectivity, different scenarios
require different approaches, and we are dedicated to providing solutions.
Key
benefits
- Always connected: LTE-M, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, plus NTN for remote pastures. Geo-fence
alerts notify when animals leave designated areas.
- Precise outdoor positioning: GPS/BeiDou GNSS, < 2.5 m accuracy, with configurable
acquisition intervals.
- Long service life: 500 mAh rechargeable battery and 0.34 W solar assist reduce manual
charging.
- Built for livestock: IP66 enclosure, compact 60 × 44 × 15 mm, 40 g, safe attachment,
and motion sensing to optimize power and detect anomalies.
Technical
specifications
- Connectivity: LoRaWAN 1.0.2B, OTAA/ABP; LoRa TX 0–20 dBm; sensitivity to −137
dBm. LTE-M; NB-IoT; NTN: n255/n256.
- GNSS: GPS/BeiDou, < 2.5 m CEP50,
cold start 30–120 s.
- Power and enclosure: 500 mAh Li-ion rechargeable, 0.34 W solar, IP66, 60 × 44 × 15 mm,
40 g.
- Configurable reporting: Heartbeat 30 s × n, GNSS 5 s × n, Bluetooth 5 s × n; FOTA over
Bluetooth; geo-fences; alarms; on/off button; 3-axis accelerometer.
Flexible
tracking modes for real operations
Farmers can set shorter intervals
during transport, slow them down during grazing, then rely on motion sensing to
wake the device when animals start moving. Electronic fence monitoring can
suppress noise within the fence and alert instantly upon exit, helping keep
data costs in check. We have seen this configuration cut chatter without losing
critical events.

“Our customers tell us reliability
beats raw specs. So we combined LoRaWAN, cellular, and NTN in one small tag,
then let you dial reporting rules to match the season. That is what real-world
ranching needs.”
